Laminitis Oil – for the chronic laminitis hoof
The laminitis hoof will show a disconnection between the hoof bone and the hoof wall which leads to a lowering of the hoof bone and/or a hoof bone rotation. Another problem is the hollowing of the hoof wall which leads to a soft, brittle sole. The danger of hoofs abscesses and an oversensitive wall could arise. Our Laminitis Oil will strengthen the newly grown hoof a f t e r the laminitis boost has calmed down.
D o n o t u s e d u r i n g a laminitis boost.
Our Laminitis Oil activates the formation of new hoof material and strengthens it. Therefore the connection between the hoof bone and the hoof wall is stabilized. The essential oils within protect the hoof and limit the impact of the laminitis boost on the hoof.
Please note that Laminitis Oil is for regeneration of hoofs after a laminitis boost. It cannot prevent a new laminitis boost caused for example through Equine Cushing Syndrome or other reasons.
How to use: Apply twice a day onto the entire hoof. Additionally you can apply hot wraps for 2 weeks. If the sole is pretty soft and brittle or there is a significant lowering of the hoof bone with the possibility of a break through you could use the Sole Hardener Oil on top.
In case that the laminitis hoof has multiple problems – like hollow walls or abscesses – you could use our Special Oil instead (please note the link below).
Make sure to contact your vet and farrier in case of an acute laminitis boost!
